Overnight postpartum care

Restful nights for growing families.

Moses' Nest Postpartum Care provides compassionate overnight care designed to support both new and experienced parents during one of life's most demanding transitions. Our team cares for your newborn while you rest, ensuring your baby's needs are met with patience and expertise throughout the night.

We assist breastfeeding mothers with positioning, latch support, and feeding routines, and we are equally experienced in caring for formula-fed babies. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, recovering physically, or simply in need of uninterrupted sleep, we offer a calm, reliable presence and an extra set of hands. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where both parents and babies can thrive, helping your family feel more confident, rested, and supported.

Sally Morales

Founder and lead postpartum doula

I began working with children at a young age, starting with babysitting throughout high school. That early passion grew into a full-time career as a nanny while I earned my bachelor's degree, giving me years of hands-on experience supporting families and caring for children of all ages. About three years ago, I transitioned into postpartum care, where I now focus on supporting families during the newborn stage, offering both practical help and emotional reassurance during such a transformative time.

As a mother myself, I truly understand the joys and challenges that come with welcoming a new baby. My approach is rooted in empathy, patience, and respect for each family's unique preferences. I value creating a calm, judgment-free space where parents feel supported, heard, and cared for. Whether a family chooses to breastfeed, formula feed, or do a combination of both, I meet them where they are and provide guidance that aligns with their goals and comfort level.

My personal faith is an important part of who I am and shapes the compassion and care I bring into this work. At the same time, I proudly serve families of all backgrounds, beliefs, and lifestyles without discrimination. Every family deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported during this season.

My style is gentle, attentive, and intuitive. I believe in nurturing both baby and parents, helping establish rhythms that promote rest, confidence, and overall well-being. I aim to be a steady, trustworthy presence during the night, someone families can rely on so they can recharge and feel more like themselves again. Over time, this work has grown beyond just me, and I'm proud to lead a team that shares these same values and commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.

I have my doula certificate and I will be graduating from BIOLA University this Spring 2026 with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

Welcoming a newborn can feel overwhelming—but it doesn't have to be. This guide highlights the true essentials while connecting you with trusted, evidence-based resources to support you every step of the way.

Safe sleep

Creating a safe sleep environment is one of the most important ways to protect your baby.

  • Always place baby on their back for sleep
  • Use a firm, flat sleep surface
  • Keep blankets, pillows, and toys out of the crib
  • Room-share, but avoid bed-sharing

Safe sleep practices like placing baby on their back and keeping the crib clear can significantly reduce the risk of sleep-related infant deaths.

Feeding your baby

There is no one "perfect" way to feed your baby—what matters most is that your baby is nourished and you feel supported.

Nutrition in the first two years plays a critical role in growth and development, and feeding choices should fit both baby and parent needs.

Breastfeeding support

If you're considering breastfeeding, preparation and support can make a big difference.

Starting early, practicing skin-to-skin, and feeding frequently can help establish milk supply and support success.

Caring for yourself

Taking care of yourself is just as important as caring for your baby.

Rest, nutrition, and emotional support help you recover and better care for your baby during this transition.

Daily newborn care essentials

Based on national newborn care guidance, here are the core essentials every parent should have:

  • Diapers, wipes, and diaper cream
  • Safe sleep space (crib or bassinet)
  • Feeding supplies (breast or bottle)
  • Baby clothing, simple and comfortable—PJs with zippers are always wonderful
  • Thermometer and nasal aspirator
  • Car seat (rear-facing)

Programs like the HHS Newborn Supply Kit emphasize that having basic supplies early reduces stress and helps parents feel more prepared.

A gentle reminder

You don't need everything at once—and you don't have to do this alone. Focus on the basics, give yourself grace, and seek support when you need it.

As your postpartum doula, I'm here to walk alongside you with practical support, education, and compassionate care during this transition.

Testimonials

Words from the families we've cared for.

Overnight newborn care

Sally was a wonderful night nanny for us, especially as first-time parents. She was extremely reliable, kind, and knowledgeable with our newborn.

Sally would come in with a mask on, wash her hands, take off her shoes (a germaphobe’s dream!) and immediately help with dishes and baby laundry which helped keep our household running even in the crazy early days of adjusting to life as a family of three.

We are looking forward to working with Sally again when we bring home our second baby in a few months!
